Chicken Pasanda (by G)

While casting about for something to make for dinner I found a recipe for Chicken Pasanda (not seen below hidden under the red onion and coriander).

It is pretty easy to make - just some chicken pieces in a sauce of ground coriander, dried chilli, green cardamom, minced turmeric, garlic, ginger, cinnamon stick, ground almond and yoghurt simmered until the chicken is cooked and the gravy has thickened.

To make a meal of it I also fried some potatoes with garlic, onion and coriander and mixed some puliogare powder through some cooked rice (don't ask me what puliogare powder is... all I know is that it adds some spice and colour to rice and has small whole peanuts in it that Biggs is particularly fond of).

This was a good simple Indian plate of food that only cost about $80 a portion and generated a huge amount of washing up. Bargain.
